Chillidesque
Chillidesque is conceived as a sculptural object & functions as a reception desk for Mana Contemporary, an Art Center in Jersey City. Inspired by the raw forms of Basque sculptor, Chillida, the desk appears monolithic on the outside; while its inside is sculpted with openings of different sizes that conceal wiring and create room for books & brochures. Made by pouring concrete in-place, a highly tactile surface invites a sense of touch & texture.
