Chiaroscura

A photographer's studio space & gallery is composed using varying degrees of light & shadow. The different studio functions are arranged within an ensemble of white walls that vary in both height and thickness. The abstract white shell is a framework to really understand how light enters space. Sometimes light floats from above while sometimes it's a sliver between planes. Design here is about stripping down to the bare essences -- to light, space, and their delicate dance.
