The Walter De Maria Collection and Archives

Designed in close consultation with the Director of the Walter De Maria Archives, the space is a studio and archive for the late artist's work. A partially enclosed archival room opens into a light & airy working area with an eat-in kitchenette. The space echoes the artist's original vast studio space in Manhattan. Sculpture models and large photos of the artist's work are a subtle presence amid a backdrop of built-ins & free-standing furniture in hues of soft white and wood. Photo credits: Michael Childress
